Onto my goals and dreams for this year! I want to 1.) Continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord. 2.) read the whole bible. 3.) Save and budget 4.) Move daily. 5.) Grow as a vocalist and in the knowledge of music 6.) Learn an instrument 7.) Grow as a worship leader. 8.) Grow as a photographer 9.) Go to community college for a year 10.) Finish my tiny house 11.) Travel, and 12.) Read more books. All of these goals are not small and scare me a bit but I think they will push me and help me to grow as a person even if I don’t complete them all.

My word this year is : “ T R U S T “ I hope to grow in trust in my Heavenly Father through all the highs and lows this next year may bring. My Bible verse for 2022 is Psalm 143:8, “For I have put my trust in you: show me the way I should go for to you I entrust my life!” I am so thankful for the many trials that the Lord put me through this last year. Without them, I would not be who I am today. God is so good and sometimes He allows struggles to help us grow closer to Him, as followers of Christ, and in loving others. On the other side of this challenging past year, I see that life is more beautiful living for Him because it is what He designed my soul to truly desire and be fulfilled by. I will always experience more joy if I lean on Christ.

I am beyond excited for all that this next year holds for me. I also want to go into this next year with the excitement we get on the new year - for fresh starts, new chances, to make goals, and to-do lists. We can bring this attitude and mindset to our everyday lives. We all have the freedom to start over, choose a positive mindset with the help of God, and achieve things through His strength. Personally, I really want to work on that this year. Don’t forget to give yourself permission to rest and have days where nothing gets done. All that time resting and reflecting was not wasted as long as we learn from it.

I have learned over this last year that achievements can be very satisfying to set and accomplish. But in my past, I certainly obsessed over them at times and it really destroyed me. I do not think they are always bad especially if you keep them in a healthy place. However, my past achievements would define my day, my feelings, my worth, and negatively affect the relationships in my life. It is great to set big goals, push yourself to achieve things in your life but I learned in 2021, I need to value rest and growing as a person as a very important achievement.
